In this particular project, the Floating Wine Racks were installed on the right wall at a floor-to-ceiling height. They consist of strong tension cables to support the glass cradles that hold the bottles horizontally.
Instead of clear standard cradles, the team opted for dark grey cradles in Satin Chrome finish. The cradles can accommodate various bottle sizes, including Champagnes and Magnums. This metal wine rack system creates an illusion of bottles floating in mid-air.
VINdustry Wine Pegs and Diamond Bins on the Back Wall
Wine pegs are becoming more popular among builders and designers of wine cellars who aim to create a stunning display of their collection. Blue Grouse Wine Cellars offers wine peg systems in single, double, and tripled depths.
In this small wine room, double-deep wine pegs were installed on custom millwork on the upper half section of the back wall for increased bottle capacity. There is a countertop in the middle, intended to provide a space for decanting and serving wines, as well as storing a few bottles and wine glasses. Double-deep diamond bins were added below it.
Diamond Bin Storage on the Left Wall
More diamond bins were installed on the left wall of this contemporary wine cellar in Vancouver. This racking style is recommended for storing wines in bulk, with bottles stored on top of one another in each bin or cell. Diamond bins added character to the overall appeal of the wine cellar. A countertop was also included below the diamond bins.
Integrated LED Wine Cellar Lighting System
Illuminating wine cellars safely while achieving a dramatic lighting effect is easy with LED lights. In this wine room installation project in Vancouver, the contemporary home wine cellar has an integrated LED lighting system installed in it.
We recommend LED lights for many reasons. They do not emit too much heat, preventing wine damage. Remember that high temperatures will alter the chemical composition of the wine, resulting in spoilage. Another advantage of LED lighting is its practicality. It has a longer lifespan than any types of lighting. It also offers installation flexibility, making it easier to achieve the mood and ambiance the owners desire for their wine cellar.
In this project, Blue Grouse Wine Cellars installed a huge light bulb in the center of the ceiling, complementing the minimalist style of the wine cellar. LED lights were also placed around the wine peg’s millwork by VINdustry, diamond bins, and the frame of the Floating Wall Wine Racks. You will be left in awe after seeing the beautiful lighting system in this small wine room designed with luxurious features.
