Each side of the archway consists of three levels of display rows, which pitch the bottles at an angle. Each level can hold four bottles. In this residential wine cellar design, we also included a Vino Pro BU490 Designer Series all-glass door full-extension shelving model. This cabinet installed beside the angled bottle displays holds the bottles horizontally, showing the wine labels for easy browsing of the wines without the need to open the cabinet doors.
The custom cabinets are located at the bottom and upper sections of the wooden wine racking. We installed the Mini Tower 1000 Humidor at the center of the bottom section of the racking, just below the countertop. It is flanked by a three-level cabinet with LED lights.
There are also cabinets at the top section of the racking intended for displaying various bottle sizes vertically. The shelves in the cabinets can be adjusted to accommodate various bottle sizes.
We created a pub-like environment by adding a James Tobacco Loveseat, the perfect furniture for this exceptional home wine cellar. The sofa set consists of two single-seaters and one double-seater, making the wine room ideal for creating a memorable wine-drinking experience with family and friends.
Floating Wine Display System: Perfect for Owners of Modern Residential Custom Wine Cellars
Modern features bring residential custom wine cellars to a new level. Metal wine storage systems are widely used in building contemporary wine rooms. They add a luxurious touch to any space.
In one of our projects in Vancouver, we utilized the floor-to-ceiling Floating Wine Display System from Blue Grouse Wine Cellars, one of our partners in wine room construction. It consists of high-tension cables and thick glass cradles that create an illusion of bottles floating in mid-air. The mounting hardware made of Brushed Nickel is used as the anchors for the cables.
The wine racks were installed in a three-panel glass front wall, creating a contrast with the iron-colored back wall. The middle section consists of a frameless glass door, while the glass wall on the sides is framed. The beautiful LED lighting chosen by the owners and their designers made the wall shimmer and illuminated the wine display dramatically.
After performing a heat load calculation, we decided to install a CellarPro 4000S split wine cooling system on the left side of the wine room near the ceiling. The condenser was placed outside with housing to protect it from weather conditions. The front face of the unit consists of controls, allowing the owners to adjust the conditions in their wine cellar quickly.
