Blue Grouse used the metal racking system from Vintage View to maximize the storage space. This type of racking is widely-used in many restaurants and other commercial establishments because of its ability to fit in small corners of a room. For space efficiency, floor-to-ceiling and wall-mounted metal wine racks were used.

In addition to elegance, another important feature of these storage racks is the label forward design. This makes locating a specific bottle much easier and faster compared to the old modular wine racking, where bottles are stacked on top of each other.

A custom wine storage display shelf made was added to feature some of the owner’s bottles. To complement the brushed nickel wine racks, the shelf was professionally finished. A wooden cabinet was also built to house the wine cooling unit.

We constructed the walls (except the back wall) and the door with glass. Glass wine cellars prevent wines from being hidden from the customers’ view, thus encouraging diners to take a look at the wine selection you have from outside the cellar. They may even find a vintage that would pair well with their meal, resulting in wine sales.

This contemporary Vancouver commercial wine cellar design was installed with color changing strip lighting chosen by the client, illuminating the wine room with red, green, blue or yellow lights. This provides a warm ambiance to the restaurant, enhancing the dining experience of the customers.
